My favorite verse in the Bible is Mark 9:24, which ends with the phrase, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" That pretty well sums up my spiritual journey. This blog is for recording my thoughts, ideas, insights, struggles, battles, blessings, stumblings, hopes and victories on my road to salvation. Oh, and just random life stuff, too.

GOOD GRIEF! That's way more insane than here!
Is it normally 60 there this time of year, or is that a fluke?
It's funny what a difference a little distance makes here in flyover country.
We're getting high wind warnings, but not blizzards, snow or ice. Forecast says rain all week and high temps in the 50s and 60s.
But right now, we still have a little snow on the ground from a rare December snow storm we had a few days ago.
Erin,
Somewhat of a fluke, although we've been having wilder temp swings in the winter over the past few years (and lots more ice storms, which I don't enjoy very much - especially since they make our sun room roof leak!)
CH:
Yeah, it's supposed to be windy here today (as you can guess from that kind of temp swing). I am hoping it will end up being like the last two "snows" we had in the past month, both of which were barely enough to even make the grass white. We'll see.
And there's no such thing as "a little difference" in flyover country! That's why people fly over us! :o)
Remember how it said 21 degrees! Ha! Now it's supposed to get down to 13 degrees, and it's already below freezing and raining, well ahead of schedule (ah, Missouri ice storms).
So instead of 39 degrees of temperature gradient (because it did get to 60 today), we're going to see a 47 degree change.
Wow I'm sorry Jim. Our forecast is nearly identical to yours, but we didn't get the freezing rain (THIS TIME) just snow. But most times we get the ice too and I sympathize.
Erin,
It turned out not so bad. A bit of ice and that was it. It is COLD, though. The high today is supposed to be 16 degrees (Fahrenheit, of course).
