Day two

I guess I would be more understanding of Twitter if, on day two of using it, it hadn't already lost (at least) two of my posts.

Hmmm...

Still deciding, but let's just say so far I am underwhelmed in the extreme.

"Twitter- the CB radio of the Naughties."

Yeah. What Jeff said.

I don't think that calling it "the Naughties" ever caught on, did it?

Jeff, CH:

I know, I know. :o)

It is one of those things when people you consider to be really smart all seem to be into something that sooner or later you just have to give it a try, if only to be able to say, "Done that, been there.'

CH:

While true, what else would you call this decade?

I signed back up because I saw you'd gotten on there. I'm actually liking it a lot better now than I was before. I like how it integrates with all my other stuff.

Now, if it were only reliable! :o)

When I load your blog home page in my browser now, it says "Waiting for twitter.com..." on my status bar. It sometimes stays like that for a few minutes.

I hope you know I'm just funnin' with you about the whole Twitter thing. I still don't see the use for it, but think it's just fine and dandy that everyone else seems to be doing it.

Regarding what to call the years 2000-2009, I honestly don't know. I've found myself in several conversations lately talking about "the 80's" and "the 90's" and "the...er, uh, current decade...", which is sort of awkward, and will no longer work in a few years when we're looking back on it.

Perhaps we can take a clue from the past. What did they call 1900-1909, or 1800-1809? The aughts? The ohs? Beats me.

CH,

Yeah, I am getting mighty tired of "Waiting for Twitter". So far, the prognosis isn't good.

Per the decade, I've always like the mental picture of an old man talking about "The ice storm of ought-five". But that's single years. The name for the decade remains a problem.
